Northern IL Reds 14U

The Northern IL Reds 14U baseball team finished first in the Fall Reds Rumble baseball tournament in Yorkville. In pool play that was cut short by rain, the Reds beat the Aurora Thunder by a score of 16-0. The Reds were the number 1 seed going into bracket play and beat the St. Charles North Stars by a score of 11-3 to advance to the championship game. The Reds led the Oswego Panthers Navy through 6 innings when the Panthers tied the score at 5 in the top of the 7th. In the bottom of the 7th, the Reds scored the go ahead run to secure a 6-5 victory and the championship.
